One of the topics which called more my attention was the Festival de la Tirana celebration.
ReplyDeleteI choose this festival because is one of the most popular religious festivity in Chile.
In this celebration is attendance a lot of people to proffer honor to the virgen of Carmen.
This celebration is realized in the north of the country, exactly in Tarapaca region.
The participants of this feast show their honor to the virgin dancing, singing and with other kind of performances.
In my opinion, this festivity is better than the others because is the only that is done in Chile and it is typically of this country. To enjoy it you must be there. I mean if you want, you can watch the festival de viña on tv and in other countries.

ReplyDeleteIn the list of Celebration Festivals in Chile i choose Fiestas Patrias, because this celebration is about the independence of Chile and all chilean people are very exciting in that date, also only in that week in some places in the city has a "Fonda" (place where meets many people for eat beef, drink beer, dance, and other funny activities).
ReplyDeleteI am think that this is a only celebration that involved all people. Also it represent the most important historic event of Chile.
the topic than called more my attention is fiestas patrias because it is the only celebration in the all country and not single in one zone for example the Viña del mar music festival than i like much but for many people it is difficult to reach.
ReplyDeletethis celebration also have a family atmosphere and a little history. i like dancing floklore so i enjoy much the fiestas patrias.
also the number of attendees is much higher in comparison with the other activities.
In the list of "Top Cultural Celebrations and Festivals in Chile" I prefer Vina del Mar Music Festival. I think is the best festival because you can meet people of other countries, listen to music (good music) and go to the beach. Also you can go to Valparaiso (is close from Viña del Mar) and have fun in "subida ecuador".
ReplyDeleteI think Vina del Mar Music Festival is better than Festival de la Tirana because is more exclusive and elegant.
The attendance is high, people of too many countries arrive to viña.
The festival is close from my home (like two hours) so is other topic to consider, I can get there in car or bus.
Of all the celebrations there in chile, I prefer national holidays because it is an instance where the whole country joins to commemorate the first meeting of government. This celebration is better than others celebrations because they performed various traditional activities such as dance cueca, sack races, dog racing, among others. The nicest thing is that family and friends meet to eat and drink a lot. It is very funny.

ReplyDeleteOf the various celebrations presented to us, I chose Santiago a Mil, because it stimulates the art and is a perfect instance to enjoy with family and friends .
ReplyDeleteThis festival is more fascinating and attractive than others, since works different from high quality are presented. For example, Small giant and her uncle Escafandra in the year 2010, attracting a thousands of santiaguinos and foreigners.
Also I think that Santiago a Mil is better than Viña del Mar Music Festival, because in Santiago a Mil presents a greater variety of shows, unlike the festival of the song, wich centres only on the music.
of the various celebratios presented to us, I choose the "fiestas patrias". because it is a national celebration that promotes the popular Traditions.
ReplyDeleteAlso this celebration has more followers than the rest , is held longer causes the other events (excluding We Tripantu) and we can eat tasty food than the other.
I prefer this celebration because it takes part in september and also I want to drink a great "terremoto".
Every 18 of September, in every places of Chile, the families meet for celebrating the Chilean Independence Day wich is celebrate for a long weekend. In this celebration there are parades, air shows, festivals, barbecues and the best is that every houses and places are decorated with patriotic decorations. It´s great.

In my opinion, I think that La Tirana Festival is the most attractive celebration in Chile.
ReplyDeleteThis celebration is a beautiful cultural festival, because it has a lot of musicians and dancers in traditional clothing that samples a show in honor of the Virgin of Carmen.
The number of attendees are almost 200.000 people from different parts of the country, many people if considering that Tirana is only a small town.
La Tirana Festival is one of the most important celebration in Chile, and i recommend going to this festival and enjoy this religious celebration.
I chose to talk about Viña del Mar Music Festival.
ReplyDeleteViña del mar Music Festival holds place each year during the last week of february in the city of Viña del Mar. In this festival one of it`s main atractions is the international music competition where musicians from many countries perform typical music of their country.
In my opinion this festival is better than the others festival in Chile, because:
Viña del Mar is more atractive than Santiago a Mil.
Viña del Mar is closer to me than Festival de la Tirana.
Viña del Mar is more popular than We Tripantu.
In the list of "Top Cultural Celebrations and Festivals in Chile" I prefer we tripantu because I think this celebrations is very cultural as it represents Our roots. we tripantu is more interesting than Viña del Mar Music Festival. This celebration is very symbolic, you can go to the Mapuche communities and share different customs like food and rituals performed invoke Mapuche ancestors
ReplyDeleteI think that fiestas patrias is better than other celebration , because is in memory of the Independence day and is a opportunity for be in family, you can dance, you can go to “fondas” and eat chilean food. In this days the people be so happy and you can hear cuecas everywhere, i really like this ambient because make me happy.
ReplyDeleteI think that the best chilean festival is the festival “Santiago a mil”, because it presents different cultural activities like dance, theater and music. All these, I think they’re very necessary in Santiago.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, this festival is more interesting that “Viña del mar music festival”, because it brings people closer to the cultura and it’s free. Also this festival takes place in summer so the people have an enjoyable and cultural activity in vacations.
Finally, everyone can get to the activities of festival “Santiago a mil”,it is more practical than “Viña del mar music festival”, because the activities are localized along the capital.
I prefer “Fiestas Patrias” because is more fun than Viña del Mar Music Festival. On “Fiestas Patrias” you can eat, drink and dance for many days, especially when I go to the “fondas”. It is also a family time, so it is best than the Festival de la Tirana. “Fiestas Patrias” are performed anywhere. Finally, it's a celebration that unites all the country. On “Fiestas Patrias” prepared delicious food, as “empanada”, barbecue, the drink “Terremoto” and “anticucho”.
ReplyDeleteI think the most popular celebration is ''New Year''. I choose this celebration because is more entertaining than other celebrations. In that occasion the whole world is celebrating without distinction. The bad part of the history is that in the morning the streets are full of garbage. But in comparison, the celebration of new year is more cleansed than 18 of september.
ReplyDeleteI think that Fiestas Patrias it´s the best celebration because the whole country is waiting eagerly for that days. You can celebrate in every place in the country and you don´t need to go to a specific place or pay for it unlike other celebrations; is a day of reunions with family, friends and traditions. It´s common to eat barbecues and meat pies, drink wine or chicha and attend fondas and cueca competitions. It's really nice!

ReplyDeleteI like the celebration "Santiago a mil", because there is a lot of activities in family, with friends, with my boyfriend or alone. I feel it is an opportunity to do something different, and also have a little of culture and art in my life. I think "santiago a mil" is better that "Carnaval Andino", because is more cheap and it is closer to my house.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I think that 18 of september is the most attractive celebration in Chile, this celebration is about first government meeting. In this celebration all the people can drink alcohol without a problem, also the people share with their friends and family, drinking and eating more than other celebrations. This celebration is celebrated around the country.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite chilean celebration are the "fiestas patrias", these begin in the month of september specifically the 18 of this month. It si a celebration different from any other, the fiestas patrias are biggest than fiesta de la tirana and also is more attractive than the festival de viña del mar. During this festivity diverse activities are realized as the famous "fondas", in these drink "terremotos" and "cortitos" and also eat "empanadas" and "anticuchos", are also the "ramadas" where you can dance songs typical chilean non stop all the night. Without doubt if you come to chile you can not miss the "fiestas patrias".
